Seña awarded 98 points by James Suckling

James Suckling, considered the world’s most influential wine critic by Forbes magazine recently awarded Seña 2012, the Chilean Icon wine with 98 points , the highest score ever received by a Chilean wine in an international ranking.  In addition, he placed Seña 2012 as the N°9 in his Top 100 Wines of the World list for 2014.  This is an incredible achievement, something that owner Eduardo Chadwick and Chief Winemaker Fransisco Baettig are extremely proud of.

About Seña 2012

“The 2012 vintage was moderately warm and due to little or no rainfall during the ripening period, and the grapes we obtained were very healthy reaching optimal ripeness and fruit concentration.” commented Fransisco Baettig.  The Seña 2012 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (52%), Carmenere (23%), Merlot (12%),Malbec (7%) and Petit Veerdot (6%).  The wine was aged in 70% new french oak for 22 months.

Description of Seña 2012 by James Suckling:

“A phenomenal red with aromas of blackberry, licorice, sandalwood and hot stones turns to cigar box and hints of sweet tea. Full body, with incredible depth and concentration yet agile and playful. Long and fascinating. It talks to you. Balanced. e greatest Seña ever.”
